Is this normal? (maybe TMI)

HI all :)

Scarlet (4mths) has had a white vaginal discharge these past few days, It's a bit smelly too, At first i thought it was just nappy cream as it's the same consistency - Other than that she is fine, Sqealing & babbling away as normal, Is this cause for concern - Should we be heading to the GP? Any idea on what it could be?

I'm no doctor but it may be thrush. Does she have any white patches in her mouth? My DS when he was about 3 months old developed thrush in his mouth and an infection in his groin from constant courses of antibiotics. It might just be normal but a trip to the doctor to rule out infection might be a good idea. :)

i'd be off to dr too sounds like possible thrush best to be safe than sorry

yeh i would take her to the doc, or mayeb call you MCHN.. they may have an answer for you, you request you go to a doctor.

could it not be nappy cream? i know i always have to clean the excess cream off krystals vagina each nappy change, before putting more on. i worry she'll get an infection or something of i done get rid of all the cream.

She has no patches in her mouth, Nah Krystal - That's what i thought last night but i gave her a bath - it disappeared, I didn't apply cream last night or today & it's back again... I will head off to the Doctors then, Just wanted to check as i don't have my car & I'll have to call DF home.
