My Son is nearly 10weeks and i am finding i think he doesnt like the pram. When i go to put him in it he cries then when we start moving he seems to settle down but then if i stop he will cry again. I am first time mum and i would really like him to like going in a pram cause means we both get out and about. Can anyone give me advice or if they have been in the same situation?

Have you tried him in a sling or carrier? My DS gets pretty stroppy after only a short time in the pram and I find that he settles almost straight away when I put him in the sling (to the point where I don't even bother taking the pram out most of the time). Some babies just like being close to mum, especially when exposed to the outside world!
It sounds like he is finding the movement comforting - do you jiggle or rock the pram when you stop moving? That might help!
If you are in shopping centres, some babies find the overhead lights overstimulating, if he gets upset when you are shopping, perhaps try a muslin over the pram or putting the visor down so that he can't see the lights.
Good luck - I hope you find a solution that works for you and your little boy - it can be frustrating if you feel like you are stuck at home!
Believe me persistance is the key. DOn't stop putting him in it otherwise it may be hard later. I would try putting him in the pram inside your house when he is normally in the bouncer or on the floor(not all the time maybe once a day for a few days). He might find it more comfortable being in a familiar environment and he may get used to it. I also found wriggling the pram a little when stopped worked.HTH

I agree with Suse - my DD also gets grumpy in the pram, especially when its not moving, but usually if I put a muslin wrap over it, she is happy and sometimes even drifts off to sleep... I also rock the pram when I'm still too.....
I was in the supermarket the other night with out my DD and I was rocking the trolley without even realisng what I was doing!!!
I agree that u should persist as we did the whole taking dd out of the pram thing and now she is to heavy for the baby bjorn...i also found that sometimes she was just tired so i started to put her wrap in the pram with her n covered the pram...she now snoozes when she wants n if she is grizzly i give her a different toy or a rusk...i know its so hard to push the pram when ur baby is crying and your trying to look calm about it but try to persist or alternate between pram and sling? they sure get heavy to carry around as they grow.

my dd hated the pram (i later realised she hated being on her back full stop)... she cried and i couldn't go anywhere... BUT, things improved when she was maybe about 4 months... also i propped her up and had her on an incline so she wasn't flat on her back.... dont stress too much, it will get better and he will soon like it, i think its a phase some bubs go thru.
both my children weren't fond of the pram. I got a few different slings and carriers that worked a treat. I actually preferred the slings because they didn't impair my mobility around shops (prams can be such a pain in shops). I used a ring sling, a wrap sling and the Ergo.
When they got older, they didn't mind going in the pram. I was always have the Ergo on hand in case they wanted a break from the pram though.
Now they fight over who is going in the pram...... The plan is for baby #3 to go in a sling for a while, I'm not even going to try the pram :)
I would persist too. Only thing i can maybe suggest is can you prop him up a little so hes not laying flat on his back? That, the whole motion and visual might be putting him off a little?
