Spider veins
Hello all
I have a few spider veins on the legs (a legacy from three pregancies or maybe it is just that I am getting older LOL) and I am wanting to get rid of them but I am not sure how or the cost. Most of them are behind my calf and just above the knee.
Does anyone have any info on how they are treated and a rough costing?
TIA
Jem

Dont botter my sister had hers done it done with some type poison that kills of the spider vains it injected into the " mother" vain and then kills of the baby "spider" vains it was great to start with as it got rid of most but they are all back now. as we are blessed with lovely english skin ( so white we are almost see through lol ) anyway she went back to the doctor and was told that they will come back. So sorry to say I see it as a big waist of money I think it cost her close to $ 1000 per leg. Best of luck if you do go ahead ask lots of questions...

EEeeeekk - thanks Tali for the info. I dont like the idea of having poison injected into the vein. I think I would rather put up with them and get a spray tan more regularly as this seems to cover them up a bit. Thanks heaps.

I went to see the doc about mine - i have varicous veins that lead into spider veins, and apparently i need to go and see a specialist and get them drained.
but...... that was before we joined a health fund, and they arent really too bad (hurt a bit sometimes) but, i have been told that its part of the progesterone of pregnancy, so i think i will wait till we have another one to go and see the specialist.
Sorry, probably not much help! But i feel for you!
