I was wondering if there is a recommended time of the day to have the pregnyl shot day 3,6 and 9 post EPU??? I need to take my day 3 shot tomoro and there is no time written anywhere, the clinic is closed being the weekend and I was hoping that someone could shed some light. I am guessing that it doesnt matter what time and I am planning on having it in the morning. Is this OK?

i was always told at night - it's a hormone injection, your normal diurnal hormone variations encourages the highest levels of sex hormones over night - plus, if you get side effects, you'll likely sleep through them!
pregnyl tends to mimic pregnancy (has hcg in it)... i was advised to have any "one a day" hormone drugs at night...
I awlays did mine in the morning all I was told was to try and make it the same time

I did mine at night as well.
I did all my others at night and stuck to the same routine.
Let me warn you about a few things that I had no idea then...but do now...
These needles do hurt more then the others. Its a burning sensation - it only lasts as you are 'shooting up'. The spot may be tender for a day or 2.
Don't do any pregnancy tests as it gives a false positive. Most people say its out of your system 3-4 days after the last needle...well 4 -5 days later my test was reading positive..and sadly I was not pregnant.

Well it has to be at night now as I have waited til now and it has to be done today. I can ask them tomoro and hope that it doesnt make too much difference. I thought if it was important they would have written it down??? there wasnt even any mention in the Product Information guide of the pregnyl.
PS I didnt need to know how much it hurts! LOL.
i was always told just to do it on X day - but due to all the other injections being suggested as night time ones due to the hormone factor, i just followed it through - i have an alarm that goes off each night to remind me to take tabs - so when i'm doing injections, i do them at the same time...
Tiggerlinda - they told me it didnt really matter so long as I stuck to a schedule. I found, for me anyway...doing same time as puregon I was in a routine so less likely to forget...and esp this one you have to mix up..and knowing me...I could see images: me - running late, stressed, breaking open vials, spilling something and then freaking out.
Lionfish - sorry if I scared you about the hurty stuff. See - I didn't understand why the nurses didnt tell me in advance so I would know. I guess I prefer to have some pre-warning..then I know what I'm in for.
Anyway - hope the first shot went well..
