Permanently bad hair post baby
Please...I need to know if I'm the only one!
I have long, fine, naturally curly hair. It was fabulous up to and all during pregnancy, gorgeous ringlets - but since having DS I have not had one good hair day since giving birth.
DS is 16 months old!!!!!
I've spent a fortune on different products, tried cutting it shorter to encourage the curl - but it just looks and feels permanently awful, fuzzy and dry and I'm plagued with an itchy scalp. (No, I don't have nits or dandruff, and I don't use products with silicone).
I am still breastfeeding - I don't know if that is related to the condition of my hair, but I've always taken my multivitamins religiously and I eat well.
I do know one ex-curly girl who said that she has never worn her hair curly successfully since having her DS - is this common? Do I have to give up on my curly hair?
I keep mumbling to DH about how I might have get my hair cut and start using a hair straightener and he complains no end because he loves the curly hair and says he hates my hair straight (with a grin, because he knows I will then keep it curly) but I don't think I can take it anymore. I'm sick of feeling vaguely embarrassed every time I'm out in public. There are days when I don't go out because I simply can't do anything with it. Today is one of those days. That's ridiculous.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any hairdressers out there who have seen this happen to any of their clients?
