I use Gaia products and find them fantastic :)
The only thing your little bundle will need is good old fashioned olive oil!!
Oh, I should have mentioned that I use QV bath oil in my DS's bath so his skin doesn't get too dry.
I use QV lotion on DS, goes on really smoothly
thanks everyone for your feedback!
I really like the Gaia as well, smells nice too.
I dont really like the johnson's sorbolene cream though, i find it doesnt moisturise at all. If youre wanting to try a few different creams, email all the different companies and ask for some samples, theyll send a sachet out (after a few companies sending out sachets youll end up with so heaps) try them and see which one works best for you ;)
I use the natural instincts products (u get them at chemists) - they are fantastic!
All the best :)
I think just water is the best thing for newborns as they dont sweat and arent running around getting dirty and was also recommended to by a CHN. We use Johnson & Johnson Top To Toe with Jesse in his bath after that and still do.. have never had any problems.
We use almond oil in the bath (you can get it from health food shops)...just a teaspoon!
And Gaia moisturiser...which is just beautiful!
I love Keri and Aromababy - Iz had eczema and these were lovely on her skin. I also love the Aromababy barrier balm for her bot, she has never had a day of nappy rash and it smells divine!
we dont use any thing! occasionaly makon will have a bubble bath but apart from that...nothing. they dont need it
I second the olive oil. That's all I used with DS for the first 6 months - both in his bath and on any dry skin. Anything else would bother his eczema (which has pretty much gone now!).
Oh, and then I discovered GAIA baby moisturiser - which I also love and also is great on his skin.
Hi,
We found that Cetaphil is the best for Aiden as he suffered from eczema too... it is now cleared up! we use the bath wash and the lotion... both dh and I use it too
Babies don't need anything for the first few months, their fragile skin is best washed with water and they don't get dirty anyway. All I reckon they need is nappy rash cream if needed!
Read the back of bottles of baby products - if there ingredients there which you don't understand (i.e. scientific words) then it's not good for your baby. If you can't read it, don't buy it! J&J are the worst. Some of the above mentioned products (no offense intended!) are not that flash either...
What are you feeding your family's skin?
