Had my hair done - foils with blonde/dark highlights. My friend who is preggers too thinks its dangerous re the smell of the chemicals. I barely smelt it, maybe once and she thinks she knows everything.....
They have said you can bleach yr hair. It doesnt go on the 'scalp' either.
Has anyone got any proof that the smell is dangerous to the baby? For pete's sake we smell 2nd hand smoke too....

There have been numerous threads about this topic.
If you bleach your hair every day, then yes, i would say it may have an effect on you/baby.....as long as your in a well ventilated room, there is an airflow within the room, then you should be okay. Afterall - dont female hairdressers fall pregnant too??? It cant be that bad.....
My mate is a hair dresser and she did my hair a couple of weeks ago, I asked her the same thing because I was a bit worried.... she said it's nothing to worry about really, it's not like it's something you do regularly anyway.
