I had to have antibiotics a couple of months back at 8 weeks pregnant and was advised by the chemist not to take them due to the bacterial content. You might want to try yogurt which has (I think) acidopholus (sp?) in it as it can work just as effectively as inner health. Try searching the web though just to be sure that it is that particular bacteria which will help. I am definitely sure that yogurt is great for it.
I have IBS and I was on inner health plus before I switched to IBS support (which is much the same thing). I contacted the manufacturer and asked them if it was safe to continue taking during pregnancy, and they told me it was. My GP and OB/GYN never said anything about me taking it, and DS turned out fine. Thats my experience anyway. For some reason pregnancy seems to have "fixed" my IBS for the moment, so I'm not on anything with this pregnancy. HTH!!
they are perfectly safe and even beneficial for both you and bub while pregnant.
Don't forget to not take them until you have finished your antibiotics as they will kill off the good bacteria that you take.
Inner Health is good, but Fast Tract is even better. Quickly and easily absorbed (pleasant tasting liquid) and it contains not one pro-biotic like most preparations, but 13 strains of pro-biotics. It's in a mega dose too, and is the ultimate in pro-biotics, organic and even safe for a baby or child (1ml for baby) with thrush or to boost gut health.
You can read about it on THIS page as well as lots of info on thrush.
I would think the Fast Tract or Inliven would be fine in pregnancy as it is all good bacteria and considering you are so far along you aren't hurting the developement of the baby.
Aricyn's mum i have heard of other sufferers with IBS that it eases up in pregnancy. I have IBS and i control it by taking Macapower and it is also organic, pretty good price as well! You can PM me if you want anymore info on IBS, i know how dibiliating it can be.
Kelly i went straight onto Inliven about 2 weeks ago now and i am feeling great....i didn't use the fast tract at all and haven't had any problems at all. Are there instances where you have problems if you don't use the fast tract first??
Great stuff :) The two weeks after having in-liven is great, gives you a huge high and feeling of wellness. You get used to it though so be careful the day you miss it!!!
Fast tract is pro-biotic only, so its ideal for prep if you want to go onto in-liven but not essential. Moreso if you are worried about allergies/intolerances or other detox reactions.
Fast tract is great on its own for thrush and thrush prevention. In-liven is a nutritional product as well, doesnt include as high levels of pro-biotics as fast tract.
Thanks for the advice all. I will look into Fast Tract and see if it could help me. thanks again girls.
