I would say its your show & contractions being 5 mins apart I'd say you'd better contact your hospital to let them know you'll be in today.... YAY!! Good luck!
was it more pink or red? either way i'd say you're on the way! take it easy and wishes for a good and easy birth!
Ooohhhh! How exciting!
I agree with everything Danielle_M said!
Good luck you bubba will be in your arm soon!
Hope you have a fantastic birth and recovery!
Thank you ladies. That just what I needed to hear :D. I am booked in tonight to be induced, so I don't think I will be needing it now. Yay!!!
Thank you all!!!!
Oh and YAY for beating your induction:clap: Clever lady!
Oh, how exciting! I definitely sounds like things are happening. Wishing you an awesome birthing experience!! :)
Yay for beating your inducement time!! I was the same with DD, due to be induced on day 9 but she arrived on her own on day 8 (past due date)
Wishing you a beautiful birth experience & a quick recovery :)
Oooooh, I'm so excited thinking about your situation, its a real beautiful (& painful I know) time.....
great news Jo
your body and your baby know when the time is right ;)
just to be on the cautious side
you may feel pressured to be augmented (drip, rupture of your waters), there is NO evidence to support this will have ANY positive outcome for you and your baby. It will increase the amount of medical intervention though and reduce your positive feelings of your birth experience
you do NOT need to remain stuck to a fetal monitor
you can allow them to do a inital 20 min monitor, and if all is well then there is no reason at all why you cannot have intermittent monitoring
you do NOT need to have an epidural for you BP...this in fact increases the risk of intervention again to you and your baby
you can get in the bath and shower
you can move around
you can still implement your birth plan (if you have one)
to keep your BP under control
remain calm and relaxed
forward positions with the forehead resting calms the central nervous system and reduces BP, increasing O2 to your uterus and your baby
but enjoy lovely mummy to be...your gonna have a baby :confetti:

The contractions have stopped. :( I was getting them every 5 minute for 6 hours. I went had a sleep and they went away.
Sounds great though, early labour stuff... can you defer your induction for a couple of days at least? Should be going great guns by then! We did a poll on BB about the show, and the vast majority went into labour 2 days after their show. I'd get walking, stairs etc to help get it going while its daylight :)

Yeah I agree, the walking definately helped bring my labour on faster
as Kelly said...its all great prelabor stuff
do you feel confident enough to say no to the induction? and perhaps just have your BP monitored, and check your baby's heart rate
you will certainly have a more positive expereince and birth outcome if you are left to labor naturally

That is fantastic :-)
