Won't Go In Cot Thru Day...
I was wondering whether anyone experienced this themselves and can give me some advice and encouragement that my little one will get out of this habit, eventually...
Madeleine is 2 months old today. We normally give her a feed at night and she'll fall asleep in her bouncer and then we transfer her to her cot. She'll stir slightly, I lean over her, stroke her hair and whisper to her so she knows I'm there. She'll settle quickly and normally sleep in there until 4am. But she won't go back in there after that time so we normally bring her to bed with us. This is a normal routine for her.
But through the day is a totally different story. Madeleine will not go in her cot. I put her in after a feed and she'll start crying, so I'll pat her but she'll have tears running down her face. I pick her up, she settles in my arms then I put her down again. She'll start to cry again. This will go on for about half an hour and then I take her out and put her straight in her bouncer where she goes to sleep straight away!
I'm just scared that she'll never want to go into her cot without being asleep to start with but I've heard so many stories of their little ones taking to their cot after 3 months.
I have tried everything, music, patting, etc but she just hates it through the day in her cot.
