Anyone used these?
Ok, so after Nelle's enlightening description as to which cloth nappy is which, I've ordered some trial packs (Baby Beehinds 2 layered approach and also Zappy Nappy AIO). Has anyone used Bambinomio? I've seen an add for them and checked out their website, but haven't found anything about them on here... anyone ever tried them? Any other brands particularly found successful and worth a trial?

I've just bought a trial pack one. I use greenkids pockets for my DD but with bubby No. 2 coming along I wanted to start her on cloth but think the GKs will be way too bulky for a newborn so had been looking for a trimmer alternative.
The bambino mio has been great on DD#1 and I will be buying the pack of them for DD#2. They are lovely and trim (although I add a booster for DD#1) and the covers seem to contain really well. I was planning on buying the one pack that has 4 covers and 12 prefolds, and then buy another couple of dozen prefolds from the Nappy Bucket which are much cheaper and great colours.
I love the greenkids for my DD #1 so would definitely recommend them. I've also tried Monkey Doodelz, Bumgenius, Hautes, Happy Heineys, Pea Pods and Berry Plush. The others worked for us in varying degrees, but the GKs are definitely the best. What works for one bubby doesn't seem to always work for another though so if you can try a few different ones before buying a whole stack of one.

Thanks for the recommendations :D. I've even got a stockist for bambino mio here in our town! Has anyone tried the cheap flanalette fitteds available at Big W? They're only about $5 plus the over pants, but is that too cheap to be true and to do the job?

Yeah stay away from those at big W. The absorbent bit is actually just wadding, you like in a cheap pillow. There is nothing to it as far as absorbency goes
