Confused?? OPKs

Okay i hope this makes some sense!

I have been doing OPKs for 6 days now and for the first 4 days I was getting a second line that was lighter than the Control line, which indicates No LH Surge. Then the last 2 days i have also had a second line that is lighter than the Control line, but it is also fainter than the previous ones, So again no surge.

I know that if the test line is not equal to or darker than the test line it is considered a negative result. But im confused that it has gotten fainter and i havent had a positive OPK yet.

Is it possible that i have missed the Surge?

Im not sure wether to keep using the OPKs or if i should stop and wait for next cycle?

It is possible that you have missed the surge..

What time of the day were you testing? Sometimes the surge does not lats longer than a few hours so you may heve been testing to early or to late?

I actually had this happen to me last month. I was getting 2 lines (not as dark as the control) for several days then they got lighter, I was thinking what the hell is going on, I had heaps of I.C opks so I kept testing and a few days later got a positive. If you have some left I would recommend keep testing. Do you take your temp each day? If so you should be able to tell by your temp chart if you have O'd or not.

kyliekd- I have been testing between 12 and 1 pm twice it was alot later as i was not home at the time:doh: Hence why i thought i may have missed it! Hoping that isnt the case though.

Leigh26- No i havent been temping or charting yet. But i do have plenty more OPKs left so i will keep testing as you said and hopefully the positive is still to come. Congratulations on your BFP btw wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy:)
