Pregnancy and pimples... and did you have a boy or girl?

I just replied to a post about pregnancy breakouts, and noticed that a lot of the woman who posted about having dreadful skin during pregnancy are having or did have girls.... so I am wondering... is there any correlation between having a girl and having ouchy breakouts and pimples during pregnancy...

I am having a little princess, and my skin has been horrible. Big red ouchy horrible pimples on my cheeks and chin, and also some on my back and even shoulders! :wall:

Though I'd start a BB study into how your skin was (or is)during pregnancy, and whether you had (or are epecting) and little princess or a prince.....

I wonder if there has been a proper study...? Maybe its something to do with the hormones when you're having a girl...?

Interesting... my skin is perfect and I've been suspecting we're having a boy. So maybe we are...? Be interested to see what everyone says :D

Interesting.. I had great skin when pregnant with DS and have broken out with this one - gender unknown!!!! I'll let you know for sure if its the same in my case in about, say 18 and a half weeks time.. ;)

My sister was a big puss ball with her pregnancy and had a girl! I had 2 girls but no pimple which i was glad about

Lots of pimples and I had a girl!

Pimples atm driving me bloody bonkers and i've been told twice that it's a girl

I had heaps to and expecting a girl

Perfect clear skin for me and I had a boy. Wish it was still like that.

aaah how interesting! i lways get a few little sweat pimple looking ones on my chest through both pregnancies. i did not really have bad skin last pregnancy and i had a princess, this one i don't either except for on the chest so maybe another girl but we are suspecting a prince this time...
Also, my friend had terrible breakouts and she's almost due with a little prince.. doesn't really ad up does it but very interesting!!

I had pimples really bad, on my face, back and chest and it was a boy.

My second pregnancy, not as bad, none on my back or chest and it was a girl.

Am now on my third, and the pimples are back! Nowhere near as bad on my face but bad on my back and shoulders and its another boy!

LOL! Ok so that blows my theory out of the water then :p

Must just be another 'wonderful' pregnancy experience!

Maybe it has something to do with where you break out. My SIL had it really bad on her back and she had a boy.

I seem to be a bit of a combo. Beautiful clear skin except for my chin and forehead just above my eyebrows where I am breaking out constantly - mainly blackheads though, or undergrounds. Gender unknown!

Pimples for 1st trimester in both pregnancies, then cleared up by 14 weeks. Both boys...

I'm expecting a boy (had an amnio) and I have never had better skin than what I have had throughout this pregnancy.

When i found out i was pregnant up till about 20weeks I had pimples galore. all over my face and also sweat pimples all over my back... and I had a girl.

I was perfectly pimple free all throughout my pregnancy..............and I had a boy!!

1st prg with my DD had heaps of pimples, mainly on my chest!

2nd prg (we lost this baby at 12 wks so don't know the sex, but I feel it was a girl) same deal - in fact, that's how I knew I was prg, the pimples on my chest!

3rd prg - not a single pimple the whole 9 months...you guessed it, a boy!
