Have I Ovulated????
Hi ladies,
I was due to O today (CD15) and I usually know when I ovulate bc I get hormonal and then a dull ache in one ovary for a couple of hours, then it all stops. But I have had the most bizarre week, I got an ache in my ovary last Sunday, CD8, and it hung around until yesterday, CD14. Then yesterday I got really, really hormonal, sore nipples but no real ovary pain. Today I feel fine and like all of the hormones have resolved themselves so I think I may have ovulated. I dont do temps bc I usually have no trouble detecting O. Does anyone know of any other signs I could check to see if I have O'd? I didn't really notice EWCM this month, but it was cloudy on CD12 and seems to be a bit cloudy today.

Maybe you have O from both sides this cycle, I had noticed as I get older that had happened more often to me. I would normally get the ovary pain after O but not always, it sounds like you may have had it happen already. Still no harm in covering bases just in case?????

Thanks Blackduckies, Yeah, good thinking, you may well be right because I had mild pain throughout my whole reproductive system (both ovaries, fallopinan tubes and uterus, I think) for a few days. I have never noticed this before but really have only been thinking about O since TTC for the past 6 months and for the 5 months months previous it was definatley pain in just one ovary. I am nearly 35 and I hear that hyperovulation can occur as you get older but also Mum conceived twins when she was pregnant with my brother (one did not survive) and my Nan was apparently a twin (again, the other did not survive) so I probably have the hyperovulation gene also.
The pain was gone by Saturday but that's when I had the real hormonal drop, felt moody all day, just low for no reason. Does this drop happen after O (after the estrogen peak) or is it the LH surge I can feel? Does the pain happen before the egg is released?
