13th March 2008 - The little kicker is here
Yes, he is here! Aidyn John has arrived at 2.18pm on Thursday 13th March by c/s. Due to complications I was denied vbac by my doctor and was booked in for a c/s. It has been 3 weeks since the c/s and mother and baby are doing well. Aidyn has already grown 3 cm and is over 4kg (born 52cm/ 3.55kg). I am very well and have healed nicely. I am off all the medication for pain and I am just about back to normal.
This c/s was so much better than the emergency I had with my first son Cameron 2 years ago. I chose to go on different medication so I wasn't all drugged up for the first days of Aidyn's life. I breast fed in recovery. My Hubby and I got to see Aidyn being lifted out of me and my hubby got to cut the cord. It was so much better with a set date to organise everything and I loved how I could make choices and tell the doctors and midwifes how I wanted things. The pain was actually worse the first few days than my first c/s but after that I think I actually have healed faster and have gotten back to normal easier.
I am so happy everything went so well, even though it is not the way I wanted my baby to arrive. I have another gorgeous healthy baby boy which in the end is the main thing.:dance: :D
