Packing for Hospital...
Wow, I thought packing for the hospital/labour bag would be easy. It's looking like I am going to need a shipping container for all the things I am taking. I have one smallish suitcase thing and I thought that would do the trick, but by the time I packed in some maternity pads and a book and nappies I hardly have room for a lipbalm!!
Looks like I am going to be taking 2 suitcases with me, just so I can at least take a robe and slippers etc with me!
Who here is taking all the things they need with them straight up?? Or will you have your baby items left at home for the DH/Partner to pick up once baby is born??? I am taking it all at one time....tis easier that way.

I have my overnight bag with things for my hospital stay, then I have the nappy bag with bits n pieces for bub (we're using our own nighties rather than the hospital gowns which look uncomfortable!). As well as that I'm going to have a labour bag with my snacks / ipod / oils etc that Aaron will take home once bub is born. The first two bags will probably stay in the car until baby arrives though.

I had two bags with me, one of my things, and one of bubs things.. i stayed for three days, and i sent dp home with plastic bags of things i didnt need/washing and any bulky type gifts.
i took my dressing gown but never wore it, so i also sent that home.

Let me start off by saying I don't pack light :-)
I had a labour bag - cloths for Dh, me etc, heat pack, etc
Hospital bag - cloths, maternity pads etc
Baby bag - left in the car and DH brought it up on going home day
And remember you will take home TWICE as much stuff as you brought so maybe get your partner to take stuff home in shifts

I took a labour bag - which i barely used! I took a small bag with baby stuff - used some of it.
I took a HUGE suitcase with soo many clothes and barely wore any of them! I wore my comfy PJ pants with my breastfeeding tank tops the whole time - just laternated while hubby washed on set. It was sooo warm in the hospital that I didn't need dressing gown or anything like that. I was relaly glad I took:
- my own toilet paper!
- all the toiletries I normally use including hair straightner (wanted to feel nice!!)
- savoys or other snacky type things (got hungry at strange times!)
Depends how close you live to hospital but you can always get things brought into you! Good luck!

I took a separate labour bag and hospital bag, and my hospital this time encourages this too. It means that your big case for your stay is not underfoot through the delivery. We left it in the car till after ds was born, then dh got it for me and took home the labour bag the next night.

Well with my first i had a med-largish sports type bag with all my stuff and a nappy bag with bubs stuff... We put them in the car and went off to the hossy but werent 100% sure it was the real thing so i told DP to leave them until we knew... well turned out it wasnt me being silly i was in labour and ended up not needing anything i packed for the labour...
This time just packing MUST haves- toiletries, clothes, PJ's, slippers, metamucil and Ural (for after) Pads undies etc... DP will bring up bubs bag from the car once she is born.
Good luck

I'm going to have a labour bag, toiletry bag a hospital bag. Hospital bag will have pads, bubs stuff, my change of clothes to go home in, nighties, dressing gown, slippers, undies, nice soft TP etc. I plan to take the labour bag and toiletry bag with me when I go in and the other bag will stay in the car until it's required. The hospital gave me a leaflet on what they recommended to be taken and I'm pretty much sticking with it.
