Playing in Cot
My DD who is nearly 7 months is now rolling both ways. This means she now does it in the cot too!! I have put her in three times today and everytime she has played and played and played, rolling around. She has shown tired signs and needs her sleeps but she's only had 2 45 mins sleeps today compared to normally having 2 1 1/2 hr sleeps as well as a 45 mins one. Is this just a phase cause I don't know how you stop them playing!

Probably just a phase. I worried about my DD when she learned to stand up - I would put her in the cot and she'd stand straight away and I wasn't sure whether to lie her down or leave her to it.
Nowadays, I leave her alone in her cot (as long as she's happy) to do as she pleases. Sometimes it can take her half an hour or more to go to sleep because she is so busy chatting and larking about, but she does get there.
So, personally, I'd just let her work it out if I were in your position. If you try to stop her rolling around she may see it as a game and get all hyped up (which is of course not so great for falling asleep ;) ). Its a bummer about her not having as much sleep... Is she cranky? That is really hard. But hang in there.

I agree, if she's happy, then leave her there.
45 minute sleeps are just the first cycle, so she might need help getting through to the next cycle of sleep. Now that she's learning so much, she's probably got a lot going on in her head, so might find it dfficult to get into that deep sleep.
