Unless your gp or OB has said otherwise, go for it. I was taking Nina swimming lessons up until February this year. I only stopped as I was getting too tired. Another lady there took her DD swimming lessons right up until the day before her baby arrived. Swimming is a great form of exercise while pregnant.
The concern is when your body temps raises above it's normal level, which is around 37 degrees so you should be fine! Just don't go swimming sprint laps or anything and getting to hot in the water! I did aqua aerobics later in pregnancy too - it was great! Have fun!
Hi, I swam laps every day before work up until I was about 34 weeks pregnant. I got slower as the pregnancy went along, but I didnt find it too warm. I just made sure I had a drink at the side of the pool. Swimming is a great form of exercise. It should be fine if youre just doing lessons too, just come slowly out of the water if your a bit dizzy from the heat. Enjoy
Thanks Ladies ... :)
My DD's swimming teacher is now 20 weeks pregnant as she is in the pool for a few hours every day and has been since the start. The only thing she has found is that she needs to keep a supply of easy snacks poolside in case of unexepected nausea - so if you are getting any morning sickness that is a good tip. But yeah - go for it!
Thanks Ladies ... :)
