Just wondering if you can help me, I'm suffering so badly from tailbone pain & I don't know how I can ease it.
I went to the GP yesterday who said panadol (which hasn't done much) & a hard bed (I currently have a latex bed) I can't lay down or sit & I have an office job, I'm in agony & I'm only half way :(.
Anyone have any advice? I can't take any medication either as I have a high risk pregnancy, & any natural remedies for the flu would be helpful to as I'm suffering from that too.

Hi candy, I still have tailbone pain some days, My ob said to take Panadine. I found that lots of rest and fluids eased the flu i had. Hope you're feeling better soon. My bed is also quite hard but i don't see that it really helped me.
It sounds like Pelvic Instability - I suffer from it and yes sitting down doing an office job all day does aggravate it.
My best advice is actually to go and see a physio or an osteopath for diagnosis and treatment. I was already going to both of these (Physio for Pilates) when I spoke to my Ob about it and he said that would be exactly who he would say to go and see. It isn't something that panadol is really going to help with I'm afraid. My Osteo's specialty is obstetric osteopathy - so make sure you do go to one that knows about it. There are lots out there, but don't be afraid to ask the question. They do a really gentle treatment too which helps in relaxing.
My other remedies that have been helping is sleeping with a body pillow, mine goes right round me so there is support on either side of me, and also I bought a pregnancy support belt - not cheap but worth it's weight in gold. But only do this if your diagnosis is Pelvic Instability (or i think it is sometimes called SPD).
