Pain in my boob ???
Slightly weird question.... but has anyone had a sharp, shooting pain in their boobs during the last weeks of pregnancy ? It started yesterday, it is just in the right one and its sort of underneath the boob (hard to explain really - where the rounded part meets my big bump!!) ... I have had it before (when I wasn't pregnant, but it usually was an out of place underwire) I didn't feel it last night, but again this morning it seems to have started. I haven't worn underwire since pretty much I found out I was pregnant. Its not a constant pain, but more sharp, shooting pains every so often. They seem worse this morning than yesterday. I am unsure if there is something that I should be doing, or is this just something that happens... Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated to ease my mind (and keep me concentrating on my work and not the pain !! LOL).
Cheers

Hi Al
I can't tell you exactly what the pains are, but i know i get them occasionally too. I always thought it was either a muscle or something just being pulled a bit, or a couple of times i've actually taken a de-gas tablet and the pain eases a little.
I hope it settles down for you, and someone comes on with a proper explanation lol

Thanks Lea.... I spoke with my ob about it (at DH suggestion - what are we paying him all this money for if you can't call with questions!!! LOL ) and he suggested that it is normal to feel some pain, some women get it, some don't. At this stage of the pregnancy it is probably just the breast growing and getting prepared for the next stage ie breastfeeding.
It is slightly worse this afternoon - more consistent sharp pains rather than an increase in the amount of pain though which is ok. I am hoping that it will die down like it did last night now that I am at home and resting.
Thanks for your hugs :)

Alicia i have also had these pains on and off for a week or so. Sometimes for a long time and other times just a brief shooting pain that goes within a minute or so. They also worried me at the start until i asked my sister about them and she said she also had them at the end of pregnancy. Hopefully they will settle down for you soon as i know how uncomfortable they are.
