Hi guys. I had a caesar nearly 8 months ago and my physical recovery was very good. But recently, over the past week or so I've been getting an uncomfotable feeling in my abdomen where my scar is. Sometimes it's a stinging feeling or just a little sore and uncomfortable (especially after DTD, sorry TMI).
Is this anything to worry about? I'd like to start TTC #2 soon so I'm hoping my scar is nice and strong for another pregnancy & a VBAC.

I don't want to scare you - and my situation was the worst possble scenario, but definately get it looked at hun.
I ended up with a nasty infection that I actually contracted during my emergency c/s... I didn't realise it was there until MUCH later - After I had Luke, his Dad & I split up and so there was no sex for me for quite a while as a single mum of a newborn :rolleyes:
It wasn't until I found a new partner ( my now DH) that I had pain with intercourse, amongst other things.
Yours is probably nothing, but better to be safe than sorry... we are 6yrs on TTC #2 with 4 cycles of IVF under our belt :(
They can treat whatever it is - IF its anything of course ;)
FWIW, acupuncture works WONDERS for the pain and anything else related to the scar and it bothering you :)

i dont want you hun but it could scarred tissue (adhesions) forming iv had two big ops on my stomach and now suffer with bad problems from the adhesions. As i said dont want to scare you. if you have and more questions ask away.

I had a course of accupuncture done 6wks post c/s and had some energy work done to help heal the scar and it seems to have done wonders. I recovered really well and do date I have had no problems, I hope that lasts though..
I was having some pain after DTD and around the scar area at one stage, and it turns out my coccyx (sp?) was slightly out of place from the labour, so some physio and chiro and im all good again.

Hollybolly, I'm so sorry to hear about what happened with you. I really hope you get a BFP soon! Was the pain for you really bad? See right this moment I feel pretty good, and it's not an unbearable pain by any means.
Rachel, my outside scar is really good but I do wonder if there is something going on with the internal scarring. My mum has had a fair bit of abdominal surgery too and the last time she was opened up the Dr said she was a mess on the inside.
Lisa, funny you should mention that your coccyx was out. I think mine is fine but I have been getting some lower back pain lately, which a suspect is caused by lugging around a 10.5 kilo bubba, but yeh, it could be all related. Maybe I'm just putting a lot of strain on everything right now.
If it is still tender in the next couple of weeks I'll definately go to the doc's to rule out infection or adhesions etc.

I was in a similar boat to you about 3 weeks about, twingy pains on the inside etc.
Then my period showed up! Doh!
Perhaps something to look forward to if it has not returned already?

Unfortunately the pain wasn't bad enough to make me realise at first... I've had severe endo since I was 9yrs old, plus a retroverted uterus, so sex in certain positions was always painful anyway :(
Definately get it looked at - if nothing else to ease your mind (and mine now, I'll worry about you ;))

Hi Girls just thought I'd pop in to let you know that I went to the Dr's today and all is well. The feelings I've been getting is just the previously severed nerves springing back into action. I've been given the all clear to start TTC whenever I'm ready.
