TOMY baby carrier??
While I would dearly love to get a hug a bub or an ergo, finances will not stretch that far and I will have to get a cheaper carrier.:( I would love to hear your comments on your TOMY baby carrier. The ones I am looking at are at Kmart for around $50. I'd also love any suggestions for good yet cheap carriers. Thanks!

Hi there, I just thought I'd let you know my recent experience with buying a (cheap) baby carrier...
A few weeks ago I bought a Hug A Bub, which I really wanted but didn't really want to spend a whole lot of money on it at the same time IYKWIM. I bought one off ebay for $60, it came with the instruction DVD too. If you're happy to buy second hand I recommend having a look on Ebay as I'm sure you'll find a real bargain. Just make sure you ask questions before bidding, like if there are any faults etc.
Good luck, I hope you find a good cheap one :)

We got a TOMY carrier for DS because we tried him in a sling and he hated it, and couldn't afford a baby bjorn one. He really liked it, we never had a problem with it, relatively easy to put on etc.
However, I will add that if bubs has really chubby legs, it might be a bit uncomfy for them. His legs weren't that chubby so he was fine. But the actual carrier is fine, we will be using it (along with a Bubba Moe) for the next one. It was big enough for my husband to wear him in too - and he's really tall with really wide shoulders.
So I have nothing bad to say about a cheap carrier like it. We got ours for around that price from Big W.
Hope this helps!!

Thanks girls for your replys. I have been looking on ebay, but havn't seen anything very good/cheap yet. Gudism, thanks for your opinion. I dont know if she will have chubby legs or not lol! How many months did you use it for and for what kind of time periods? Is it easy to use?

Yup I found it pretty easy to use, once you know what clips into what. I left most of the clips in and just left a couple unclipped, so enough room to pop him in and then I would clip them up and off we'd go! It was easy enough to put him in myself. Of course DH could never work it out - think it was a male thing.. lol
I think we had him in there until he hit.. uh... 8kg I think? He was a long baby too, and because I'm short, his legs would hit my legs whilst walking and it was really hard to go up stairs.. I think he was about 5 or 6 months??? But I used it heaps when he was really little and unsettled and it helped him sleep.
Hope this helps!!!!
