Dizziness - normal?
hi all,
All day today I have been so dizzy, I even found it hard to walk straight at some stages! I felt like the ground was moving beneath my feet!
Does anyone know if this is normal??
Oh and yes, I have eaten regularly, I dont think it is iron levels, and no I wasnt tired. Is it a normal pregnancy symptom>?

The only time I felt dizzy during my pregnancy was when my blood pressure was high
Have you felt very stressed lately ?? As I know that set off my HBP at times !!
... Yeh, I would get it checked out tomorrow with a Doc or whomever if you can
(P.S - I know a "SKYE" that turns 2 tomorrow !! ;))

Thanks smiles,
I had my blood pressure taken on Monday and it was perfectly normal. So I dont think it is that. I wont be able to get to a dr for another week and a bit unfortunately.....I hope it is nothing major :( thanks for your help...

HEy Skye,
I dont know if its normal or not but I have been dizzy/light headed for the past few days. I find that if I drink more water it helps. I had my bp taken last week and it was fine. I have a drs appointment on Friday so I will ask then.
I also noticed that it was a listed symptom in the 2nd trimester thread.
Hope youre feeling better soon
Cheers
Melissa

Thanks mini, how r you doing?? I hope everything is going well!!

SKYE You can also get dizzy spells from low blood pressure. Though i'm pretty sure it is common to get dizzy spells in early pregnancy.

And you can also get dizzy spells from low blood sugar. So have a can of lemonade or something with sugar in it, see if that helps. I was on a can of coke every day in my first pregnancy (in the 2nd trimester) because I kept wanting to faint all the time (not helpful at work obviously!).
My blood pressure was always normal too.
HTH!

Hi Skye,
I have just done a bit of housework and I was feeling really light headed. I think that it is normal because of all the blood we are pumping through to bub at the moment. Maybe see how it goes today and if it gets to excessive go to the Dr. I'm sure all is OK.

Hey Skye,
I was just seeing the ob today and my bp is lower than usual 100/70. He wasnt too concerned, he said that during the first and second trimester your blood pressure goes lower because of the change in hormones.
hth:)

drink more water and a little bite to eat.
i found this helped when i experienced dizzy spells in the first few weeks.

Minimatron,
When i had my blood pressure taken on wednesday the doctor said it was a little low and it was exactly the same as yours. She said that would explain my dizzy spells-which sure dont make the morning sickness anymore tolerable. I will be having my baby around the same time as you. However i'm only 12 weeks but will be induced anytime from mid november to the first week of december. Hope you are feeling less dizzy.

Hey Skye,
pretty normal, i was told. I have them ALL the time, i guess dizziness is my morning sickness! I had my Bp checked on the weekend and it was 80/50, pretty damn low but nothing to do about it. I try to stop and regain my balance and then move on. I get scared that i will pass out in the street one day!
try and take it easy..
