Cough / Cold - Doctor?
Hi, my DD has yet another cough and cold, she has had the cough since Monday and sounds quite chesty and the cold is a runny yellow nose. I have been taking her to the doctor quite a bit lately and they always say the same thing - can't do much, keep her warm, give her panadol if her temp gets high, etc, etc. Should I take her again, is there something I can be doing at home for her???
Thanks in advance.

Oh no- it is not fun when your bub is sick & you are right- quite often the doctor says that they can't do much to help. I generally always take DS to the doctor anyway, just to cover all bases but I know that it can be a pain to have to schedule in the appointment in a busy day then wait around at the surgery.........
It sounds like this is a recurring sickness? What about seeing a naturopath? They might have some ideas on prevention/ care at home.
Sorry I'm not much help......

If cough sounds chesty & mucous is yellow, I'd be going to the Dr - just to make sure lungs are clear. I know what you mean about going to the GP all the time - DS has had bronchiolitis for 3 weeks - and we've been to the GP 5 times in those 3 weeks & to the paediatrician once!! Still, better to have peace of mind & know you are doing all you can!
