BBQ chicken and eggs
I bought a BBQ chicken and froze the leftovers into sandwich size portions to defrost and make into toasted chicken sandwiches. Is this ok? Also my hubby and I went out for breakfast yesterday and I asked them to make sure the eggs were cooked (fried) all the way through as I'm pregnant. They were a little bit soft in the middle. Is that ok? I'm really paranoid about food since having a miscarriage in march this year.

I'm not sure about the chicken - to be honest, I'm a bit wary heating things up for the second time. I think bbq chook is ok, but as long as its eaten on the same day as prepared. (but who really knows)
About the eggs - if it looks a little runny I stay far away.... so depends how soft they were??

I was told by one of my doctors that if you bought a BBQ chicken you can only eat it hot, not to reheat it and not to eat it cold. I was told it's OK to eat cold chicken only if you cooked it yourself, refrigerated it accordingly and then used it within 24 hours.
As for eggs they need to be cooked hard.
Not all that many cases of listeria happen each year in Australia but they do happen. I read recently that 20 odd cases has happened in NSW up til mid may and 4 of those were fatal (2 babies), so although you've probably not contracted it, it's best to be careful just in case.
