vomiting panadol
my poor little man had his vaccinations today and is miserable.:(
I hate seeing him upset. I've tried to give him panadol, but he's thrown it back up again. I know you are all most likely in bed by now, but does anyone know if I should try to re-dose him if he vomits the first lot up within 5 mins?

I had the same thing happen to me when my first baby had his first vacc's done. I wouldn't be inclined to give him more unless you are absolutely sure that he brought the entire dose up, otherwise you run the risk of overdosing him accidentally kwim? Is he still awake ATM? you could try popping him in a nice deep, warm bath as his little legs would be feeling a bit sore, plus the bath will help bring his temp down if he has one. Sometimes all we can do is comfort them.

Thanks so much for replying Trillian! After posting he was still so upset I did not get a chance to come back and check if anyone responded. Idid not dose him again as I was too scared of ODing him. So it was just lots of cuddles and sleeping on mummy all propped up seemed to help. Which means I'm now exhausted... but he seems a bit better today. Thanks again.

You can give nurofen as well as panadol, so if mine sicked the panadol I would try nurofen and often they kept tht down. (they should have it with or after food/milk though)

Medical professionals usually advise against redosing, as Trillian says, you can't be sure how much they actually did absorb. I hope he's doing better this morning.
