Hope this is the right place to post...
Has anyone or does anyone know if Queensland Fertility Group will transfer 2 embies to a patient who is under 35? (I will be 31)
I am in North QLD and I will have Dr Chang (Hopefully) at QFG next year.
Not 100% certain about having 2 put in, and know there are risks in multiple pregnancy. (if successful implantation)
Love to hear about any other Fertility Clinics/Groups policies as well.

I went to QFG with Dr David Molloy and was 32 when I had 2 Frozen Embies put in. My Beauitful Twin boys will be 3 on the 6th July.
Awesome! Did you ask for 2 or did they advise? (If you don't mind me asking)
PS. Did you notice we have almost exactly the same amount of posts... :lol:
We asked for 2 to be put in. QFG are fantastic and I would recomend them to anyone.

Re the posts - It's pretty funny hey! I notice you are in admin, you don't happen to wear 'red' to work do you? We have a 'branch' at Rothwell too. (not me but the place I work for) Just in case it's another coincidence :D
When we were told that we had to do ICSI they Dr Molloy told us we could have 1 or 2 embies put in. When we decided to put 2 in nobody said anything. They were very supportive of our decision which felt really great (sort of felt like we were in control sort of if that makes sense) You can ask as many questions as you like and I will try and answer them for you. :hug:

From what I recall, Dr Chang said they will most likely try and fertilize some through ICSI and some in the dish as well.
I often go between thinking 1 or 2 embies being put back... I know both or even 1 may not implant, but the possibility of twins is slightly more exciting than daunting to me and can't help but think how fantastic it would be to possibly not have to do IVF again after twins, and/or go back for #4 (?) with more time to spare. (age wise) We have been TTC # 2 for 2.5 years.
What were your determining factors in your choice?

We were TTC for 4 years before we decided to go and get checked out. When we made out choice of having 2 put in I guess we just thought that 2 chances were better than 1. I mean that if one didnt take we had a chance that the other one would.
Twins what can I say. They are alot of hard work but with twice the pleasures. The first 6 months were crazy for us but after that it did get better. Olivia was conceived naturally we were not even trying she was our suprise baby. Now DH is going in to get the snip..lol

We went with QFG, and both our specialists always spoke about putting 2 back, which freaked me out as I wanted one. FS #1 first mentioned two when we had our follow up appointment after my lap last year!
Goodluck with everything..hopefully we'll see some BFP news soon :)
eta: forgot to mention, I was 29 when we did our cycle

Hope you are well and enjoying the short time you now have left of this pg! Can't believe it's nearly time for bubs to arrive.
I always thought most clinics were only keen on putting 1embie back in patients under 35, so it's good to see the option for 2 could still be a possibility for us.
We won't be doing our ivf until next year. Ella says she would like 2 babies, (without us ever mentioning twins) a boy and a girl to be exact.
You just never know...
