I was wondering if anyone knows of any studies done on the risk of uterine rupture in women who have already had a successful VBAC? Do our % of risk of rupture decrease if we have already had a successful delivery? Can we ever just be treated as a "normal" labouring woman?
I'm a VBA2C so I doubt there would be much in the way of info out there for repeat VBA2C but even VBAC studies would be good to look at.

I do not know the percent of rupture rate after a successful VBAC, but I can only assume that it is lower. I say this only because my OB is MUCH more comfortable this time around VBAC-ing me than before (I'm sure I gave him a lot of premature gray hairs). I, however, was a VBA3C in '07 when I attempted (and succeeded) with my first . Though, now due with a new baby (any day now), I am still nervous about the success rate (and risk rate of rupture). Any solid input would help put our minds at ease!

I don't think that the risk of rupture would be any higher or any lower if having a second vbac than it was with the first vbac. The only exception would possibly be if you had had another CS between the 1st & 2nd vbac because the uterus would have endured an additional cut and therefore may be marginally weaker IYKWIM.

I am so excited to hear of a VBA3C!:) Thats what we will be aiming for towards the end of next year..I dont know where to start in regards to professional who will support and encourage my choice :(
Yeah, I don't think the risk percentage factor changes. I believe it then has a lot to do with mind as well though. Believing in your body and baby.
