homemade sausage rolls
chicken kebabs
salads
soup and bread rolls
chicken nibbles (little wing drums)
depends what type of lunch it is
you could make a platter of meats eg fresh chicken, ham, salami etc and then have salads and chesses to make own rolls.
Or you could have a bbq (sausages, kebabs, chicken wings etc)
a selections of pies from local bakery and serve salad or wedges with it.
Baked Potatoes and just have a selection of stuff for them (bacon, onion, salsa, cheese, sour cream, corn, closelaw etc )and they build there own.
Um soup and bread rolls is great in this cold weather.
Or maybe quiche and salad, sandwiches, focaccia's, home made pizza's, hamburgers, fruit platter?
Lasangne with garlic bread and salad
Selection of sandwiches on platters
Fritata with salads
Shepards pie and steamed veggies
HTH, Good luck.
I went to the taste website ( my saviour!) and made individual chicken and vegie pies from there the other day and they were AWESOME!!! Could serve them with salad.
Roast lamb/beef/chicken with a heap of veg.
Lasagna or cannelloni with crusty bread.
Homemade pizzas on pita bread! You can make gourmet type ones with goats cheese etc for the adults and hawaiian etc for the littlies! They are yummy and easy!
For the kids you could do mini hot dogs.
You buy dinner rolls & use mini franks - kids love them. We use the dinner rolls you get from the supermarket that you heat up.
Pretty much everything I would've suggested for the adults has already been suggested.
Definitely make up a huge pot of your best soup and keep it hot in the crock pot and ppl can help themselves whenever! This is practically compulsory for lunchtime entertaining in Winter! ;)
Pumpkin soup is always a winner...
