oh i love it!!!
my first pregnancy i ate it on almost everything!!!!
Ooh...yum.
I dunno for sure, but I did in all my pg's.
Never really thought about it.
hey hun, i cant see why not - assuming you are making your own?
Not sure if i would eat the supermarket ones... but its pretty easy to make it yourself :)
Thanks Ladies
Kitten - Oh I was speaking of the s/market ones - how do i make myself?? Do you have a recipe??
I think the supermarket ones would be just fine..... its just yoghurt with cucumber, garlic and lemon juice. After you've opened the tub I would eat it all straight away.... I'm sure you'll be able to manage that ;) You can have trouble leaving things in the fridge after they've already been opened - that's when bugs can grow.
Hi Kafer girl,
here's one recipe - once you hve made it once or twice you will tweak it to your own taste.
Preparation Time
10 - 15 minutes
Ingredients (serves 8)
- 500g (2 cups) plain Greek-style yoghurt
- 1 telegraph cucumber, peeled, halved, seeded
- 1 large garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tbs finely chopped fresh chives
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbs fresh lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
Method
- Place yoghurt in a sieve lined with muslin over a bowl and stand for 5-10 minutes to allow the excess whey to drain away Place yoghurt in a bowl and discard the whey.
- Meanwhile, coarsely grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture with your hands. Combine yoghurt, cucumber, garlic, chives, olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl and mix well. Season with salt. Cover and place in fridge for a day before serving to allow flavours to develop. Serve with the warm flat bread, marinated feta and marinated olives garnished with fresh herbs of your choice

Thanks Kitten!
I will have to wait till we do the shopping in town as the country town we live in would look at me strange if I was to ask for some of those products!! I can see I will be having it with EVERYTHING soon!
Thanks again!
