When did you introduce one?
Were their cues ? Ie my DD always comes up to my pillow when she is in my bed (imitates me).
DO you have to have a little toddler pillow or introduce a normal size that is thin?

dd was 2 in march and is was just before that i gave her a junior pillow, both target and kmart have them but prefer the tontine junior pillow from kmart. i thought i should introduce one as she would be going into a big bed soon. sometimes i find her asleep on it but othertimes shes laying sideways or up the other end of the cot...
DS is almost 21 months old and we introduced a pillow about 2-3 weeks ago. We just use a normal sized one. He actually put the pillow in his cot himself and layed on it(he can climb in and out himself), so i thought why not.
We are hoping to have DD in a big bed by christmas and she will be 18 months.
I have started introducing sheets (as she is currently a sleeping bag user) and had a baby pillow in there which i am not worried about - but thinking of a bigger pillow... maybe i will have it in during the day when i can keep and eye on her.
She is in a portacot too not a normal cot.
DD was using a junior pillow at 17 months. she was/is at times a co-sleeper and always wanted to be on my pillow. i had her pillow since she was little but never in her cot just laying around on the floor and when she was around the 17month mark she just picked it up and started laying on it. i think she even pointed to it and tried to say pillow when it was sleep time so i just gave it to her.
Nina has had one since she was 12 months old. We use a normal, thin pillow.
DS still doesn't have one in his cot but he does share mine when he comes into bed with us. I think with the girls they got one when they went into a bed.
My son refuses to use one, either toddler or normal, even though he is in a big bed. I thought that since he is comfortable, then I will leave it.
we got one at easter so jack was 18mths or so we bought a regular junior pillow so I could use the pillowcases that come with cot sheet sets :)
DD has one.... actually two. She uses it to prop herself up - she sleeps weirdly. i give up trying! LOL. If I only put one in her bed she uses her poor stuffed toys to make up the difference! ROFL.
We gave her one because she was often refusing to sleep in her bed and would only sleep in our bed with her head on one of our pillows. So i introduced a pillow to her bed and it fixed the problem. when she got sick i introduced the second one to assist with drainage of the nose and haven't been able to get it out! We bought the Target toddler one and i hate it. it is too big for the pillow cases that come with the cot sets etc. The other pillow she uses is a standard thin pillow.
