Should I take her to the Dr???....

I'm so unsure of what to do with Izzy at the moment...problem is -SHE IS FINE!!! 99% of the time anyway!

I posted on Friday night because she had a fever, off her food, was lethargic, and threw up. Saturday - a bit morefever but seemed ok, Sunday - pretty much back to normal, but just much clingier and whingier than usual.

During the day she has been fine, a little off her food still, but generally happy with a few moments of clinginess.

Come 4am though (for 3 -4 nights in a row) and she is terribly unsettled, her voice is all husky which makes us wonder if she has a sore throat? She would normally have a cuddle and resettle, but is still crying while we hold her. A few times while she was cryin her chest sounded a tiny bit wheezy but that's the only time it is like that - not during the day. She has had 2 ear infections this year too though so I wonder if it's that again possibly... arrrghhhhh.

So I was thinking to take her to the Dr today, but really, other than being a bit clingy etc she has no symptoms.... What do you all think????

I'd take her just to make sure she's not picked up anything. Sounds like she's been a little off colour recently, it's better to be safe than sorry! I'd be guessing a viral infection from the sounds of it but she might have picked up tonsilitis or something worse, my son had it and only had a temperature for a day but seemed out of sorts!

Thanks hun - you know when you just feel a bit silly because they race around and are generally fine! Makes me doubt myself but gut instinct says I should go.... forgot to mention that one of her molars poked out too the other day so that might be related, but the husky voice and chest worries me at night.

I reckon if your instincy says to go then do it, you will keep wondering if you should (esp at 4am) if you dont.. better to go and get the al clear than worry endlessly or end up there down the track with something worse... let us know how you go

Turns out to be a very slight throat infection but not bad enough for AB's which is good. I will go back in a few days if I don't see much improvement.... Makes sense now because she will only really eat very soft foods, like jars :rolleyes: yoghurt and weet bix!
