ok. so my feance and i where planning on getting married may of next year. then in early may this year we find out we have a bun in the proverbal oven. we are yet to tell family (im almost 12 weeks) and i've been wondering.
Blip will be about 3 months old at the time of the wedding we have booked for next year. would it be best to put it back a year? or just go a head as planned? we're both a little stuck on what to do...
any advice is really quite welcome!

You have a tough decision to make. How far along in your wedding plans are you? What kind of wedding are you planning... casual or a little fancy? Where/If you honeymoon? Breast/bottle feed? How much weight gain is acceptable for your expectations as lets face it 3 months is not much time if you want your 'old' figure back. Are you buying your dress off the rack or getting one made? Many dressmakers expect you to have ordered the dress six months in advance... I didn't know this! Luckily they caved for me and bent the rules
I was married when Charlotte was 9 months old. I had the challenge of weaning a stubborn baby from the breast (she refused) to a bottle because the honeymoon was to be without children and overseas. Plus, I didn't want to have to express milk while overseas or have my boobies leak while we were sightseeing etc. As soon as I weaned her I gained 5kg in weight in a short time and dieted with the help of my doctor. I was measured for my dress and thankfully so as it needed pulling in the day before the wedding.
Regardless of your choice of when you get married the only real bit of advice I can give you is accept as much help as you're offerred. Also, if you can get hair/makeup to come to you, it makes a huge difference to your stress levels having it in your home.

I changed our wedding date not becuase of a baby - but because we felt like we rushed ourselves and wanted to enjoy our engagement and the lead up to the wedding alittle longer - for us it was lovely and that extra six months for us "just felt right"
So all I can say to you baby_blip - is go with your gut feeling on what is right for you and your fiancee and NO ONE ELSE!!!
I have seen friends in your position and one went ahead with the wedding as planned and another put it off until bub was a bit over one year old. Both had lovely weddings and it was the right thing for them in each instance.
So talk it out with your fiancee and both decide together on what you want to do - a wedding is a special day in your life and you will never get it back so make the right decision for you both.
Your first baby is such a special event something you want to enjoy every minute of :D
Now I am going to jump off the fence for a second and say "postpone the wedding...enjoy your longer engagement...have your wedding planned like it was going to happen on the original date ie: get it all organised..but just have it a little later than originally planned...enjoy your baby ...:hug:"

We had the exact same problem. I fell Pregnant in March 06 with DD1....our wedding was planned for Sept 30 and around then i would have been around 35 weeks along....we figured it was going to be very hard on me so we changed the date.....we bought it closer and changed it to July 8 instead. At the tiome of the wedding i was 19 weeks and it was a good time...
i got married when my bun was 3 mths....and it was a perfect time...cause i was over morning sickness and stuffed myself silly lol
