Need a Business Name

My daydreaming cap is firmly on my head today!!

My dream job is to become an Events/Wedding Planner and I hope to be able to achieve this oneday. I don't really have a plan in place as I have a pretty good career at the moment - but DH and I are starting to talk more and more about it because it will mean I can work from home when we have children.

We started talking last night about what we could name the business and I am soooo stuck for ideas!! I want it to be elegant and stylish so the name would need to reflect that.

Please help!

Ok so I've been talking to DH today - and doing plenty more daydreaming and we have decided that the event/party planning business is the end goal - but probably too huge to start with.

I always planned to incorporate my love of invitation design and creation into the business as a branch. We have decided to start with this initially. We will register the business under the event planning name but will start with an internet based invitation business (enticeinvitations.com.au is a perfect example of what I would like to do).

SO!!

Need a name for the invitation business!! Please help! What would catch your eye? What are some good words that represent style, elegance, sophistication and also fun.

Ok I think I am going to use my name as the business name but I have a new dilemma. The plan is to one day have my own event management company but that is a LOOOONG way off from become a reality. The stationery business would be a branch off this company, however it is the business I am going to start with. The start up costs are a lot smaller and I can run this business as well as working full time in my current job.

SO.....

Should I register the Business as "Amy Sarah Event Management" with "Amy Sarah Stationery Boutique" as the website name (trading under the event management name) OR should I just register the business as "Amy Sarah Stationery Boutique" and change the name later when/if the event management business gets off the ground?

Why dont you just register a business under just your name, and then when it takes off or you have made your fina decision register a trading name.

My business is just my name... Didnt cost me anything this way as i just applied for an ABN under my name and then i automaticaly was registered as a business and a tranding name...
if it gets bigger then i have a new trading name and actually pay the fee then

Your website can have any name as long as when you invoice you also include your name and the ABN as well as what the website is called

I was gonna say Amy Sarah Boutique Stationary, but then its AS BS. mmm.

I am using the term "Boutique" in it's correct form meaning store - so rearranging the words doesn't really work.

My initials are ASH.

What is the likely hood that with the proper logos and branding anyone would come to the conclusion of the business name initialls being A S S???
