I have 3 that I brought off ebay. They are ok, not super absorbent for DS as he is a BIG wetter.
Nothing particularly wrong with them, just prefer other brands as I think they seem to last longer for DS. It've only washed them a few times to not leak straight away when he does a pee too (he pees with force). I think mine need more washing though.
But I do admit that I keep pushing them to the back of the cupboard.
Doesn't mean they won't work for you though :)
i use them and find them fine on my girls but prefer the couture over the bastix...
I do know that they actually have a whole heap of new patterns coming in too!!!!
I think I have the bastix ones.. yup.. yup I do...
Pretty nappies though, I'll give them that ;)
I have a stash and I prefer the couture ones over the basix as well. They have extra absorbance liner and I love the minky ones. They do take longer to dry than my pocket nappies.
I don't like them. I don't find the absorcancy very good and in my large stash I reach for everything else first.
I use them. they suit my DDs perfectly. DD2 had 1 on the other night with an extra booster and a soaker and no leaks - Even without prewashing! she sleeps right through too. Every baby is different and what works for 1 may not work for another, so it all depends on YOUR baby.
The Basix range is not designed to be left for as long as the coutures, They have half the boosting! and doesnt have a layer of PUL in it but they can last up to 3 hours on a light wetter.
Most people that dont like them in my experience generally only have the basix and have only used them a few times. they do gain absorbency with age and I recommend a strip wash once a month or so, just to make sure they stay at maximum absorbency. I do have a very heavy wetter and I find I can use the coutures overnight so it really does depend on the fit for your bub.
They are a WAHM product, and at the moment they have a slight backlog due to some bamboo issues with customs, but the new coutures are REALLY nice! I have 24 coming with 10 night boosters.
Alioops - What is a strip wash? I'm so new to this!!
I see you ave 15% off! Might havea look and get back to you.:D
Laura- Here is the how to strip wash
Laura Unfort the 15% off ended yest (was one week only) but we do have a ongoing 10% off for all belly belly members.
Beatrix,
With the Basix Nappies would a cover or wool soaker help them to last a little longer?
Because they don't have PUL Cover does that mean you have to use a cover anyway?
I have some Boosters so they would help?
Def I would recomend a wool cover and some boosters.
Personalyy i love wool as a cover or fleece... bamboo or hemp boosters are great to make any type of nappy last a little longer the the average non booster nappy
