Stupid Bloddy OPK
Please help me make sense of this (it is long so be warned)
On friday I had a positive OPK and then again on Sat with Clear Blue (the test line was darker that the control line - I showed it to DH who agreed that it was a definate positive) and I had fertile cm ov pains and it is when I usually ovulate and my cervix was open. Great Bd was timed perfectly. Just to confirm I did a OPK on Sunday and it was negative.
SO today I have had lots of CM (not fertile no stretch there at all), my cervix is open and I have ov pain so I tested again and guess what another positive, so I did another test and again positive - I then used my last two OPK's (different brand) and they were not positive but the lines were almost as dark as the control line.
SO DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON
Im going to bed tonight and tomorrow and tomorrow night (I just hope that if I am ovulating that it will be enough after 14 cycles I am getting a little frustraited)
Is it possible to ovulate twice

Hi Kylie, I am no OPK expert (although I should own shares in the company by now:D)
I guess my advice is...if you think the OPK is positive - go for it! It can't hurt!

Thanks Kylie. it is just so anoying as I will only get 1 mabe 2 BDs in and I had a perfect run up to O on Sat.
Then I am going to have to wait for an extra week to test and I will just drive myself insane.
I just do not think that this month is my month.
And I here you about the shares :)

Oing twice in a cycle is rare but it does happen, usually within 24 hours though. I'd be a bit sus on the second one seeing as you had no fertile stretch.
Lots of CM doesn't always indicate O. Was the mucous clumpy or think and cloudy?

I was told that once you get the first positive OPK that you just take that one into account and dont do anymore. Save the rest for the following cycle if your unlucky with this one. I know its hard to not test again. But apparently the OPK will come up positive if you have just started OV and well as when you are just finished. Although its meant to detect the surge, so go figure. What ever you do DONT STRESS about it cause in the end that will effect your chances. Do the OPK's at about day 10 till you get a positive and stop once you get the positive. Put the +OPK on your chart and hump like bunnies and wait and see. I know the 2ww is bad! But it only gets worse form there cause once you become pregnant you have (wait for it) a 12 week wait till your first scan where you get to see the baby. Thats a doozy. Thank God I only have 20 days till my next scan and still I am counting the days to see my bubs again! Good luck

I would go by the first positive and not the later one. Very frustrating though. Fingers crossed bub is already being made.
