IVF question inside
Hi everyone! I am a new member to bellybelly so please be patient with me!
I am just wondering if there are any ladies out there that have been through the IVF cycle and can give me some advice.
I have had an embryo transfer recently and am wondering if there are any signs that could mean I have had a successful transfer (before blood test).
I have a feeling in my abdomen that is like my uterus is really heavy. I get occassional mild cramping, I feel dizzy (when I was standing on the step ladder), I am tired all the time.
I dont want to sound like I am just talking myself into this, but am after your ideas.
Thanks in advance!!

are you on any luteal phase support (crinone/progesterone pessaries/injections???) - all of these can, and regularly do, mimic pregnancy symptoms!! unfortunatly, there's not a lot to tell before BT day!!
welcome to BB, and good luck

yes, am on crinone.
Am getting a bit impatient waiting for BT day!!
Thanks for your good luck wish!

unfortunately crinone is a progesterone support, and will stop AF (period) arriving when it's due, and will mimic early pregnancy symptoms - so all there is to do is wait!
again, good luck

Hi, I did IVF to have my first child. I was very lucky, and it worked first go. During the two week wait I had all of my usual symptoms when AF (period) is coming, even period pain. I was more bloated than usual, but I put that down to the fact that they had just been messing with my ovaries, taking out eggs. Anyway, there was really no way of knowing until two weeks after the transfer, I did a HPT the night before I went in for my blood test, and it came back a faint positive. Even after the positive home test and blood test, I still got period pain, and even a bit of spotting, but it turned out to be fine. Nine months later along came my healthy little baby boy. I know it's really really stressful. Hang in there. I hope you're as lucky as me.
