40 weeks
Good morning to all. I am now 40 wks prego and i am now really getting the ****s. Nothings happening and i do not want to wait to see the hospital in two weeks time. What can i do to get things happening? This pregnancy seems to be going forever. My last 3 children were born at 38 weeks, but not this one. I am scared this baby is going to be huge. All the others were tiny. I have asked the doctor, local gp to do a stretch and sweep and he has never heard of it. Any advice would be great.
Thanks Mel......

Acupuncture, pressue points (see acupuncture therapist), nipple stimulations, DTD, long and lots of walking if you can - all worth a try ...
Good luck with the birth, if nothing else - you know it's not far away!!! :)

You could try orgasm (no need to actually DTD). Three days in a row and on the fourth I went into labour. I'll never know of course if that's what did the trick but I believe it was. I was naughty though I did it two weeks early as I was completely over it so I can't imagine how over it you must be. Someone in my buddy group took castor oil I think but I don't know how much. She went into labour that night.

Im here tooo, and I know it's hard being patient. Bubs will come in the next week or two. It's harder since you went early with you other three. Are you measuring on target for your dates?
Im not getting any niggles yet too but all that can change.
All the best!!

Go to an accupuncturist. Make sure they are qualified to induce labour before you let them start though. A work colleague of my df's went to see one and they had to go straight to the hospital from that one session. She had the baby that night. It can take more than one session though so don't be disa ppointed if it doesn't work right away.
Good luck

It also helps to relax and "feel" ready for it to happen. Often stress over it not happening, delays things even more. Take the phone off the hook and just visualise it all happening. Acupuncutre, DTD and walking can all help also, but relaxing is a good start. GL, I hope it's soon for you.
