Preggie Pant Problems
Ok, I have a serious problem with my preggie pants!!!
I wear the materinty jeans with the elastic band at the top and really I can't make up my mind if, when sitting, under the bump or over the bump is better of bubba. Currently I have the band over the bump, but now bubba is so active that I get worried. If I pull the band away to have a look at the movement ... bubba stops *scratch head*
When I have the band under the bump, lets just say I double my loo visits :cryinglaugh: and it's very uncomfy for me.
I also have a pair that works with the elastic on the inside with the buttons, but tbh, I am sick of constantly pulling up my pants. They tend to slip down to under the bump and then, even with the waist really pulled in tight, they fall off my behind. My plummer-crack is constantly showing and in winter that is darn COLD!!
I had my pre-pg jean on yesterday with my belly band, that seemed better ... exept for the zipper that goes all the way down and I have the pull-up-pants problem again.
I am seriously considering going to work in my tracksuit
Any ideas? I just feel so uncomfy in my clothes ... or is that just because I'm pg??

ive been uncomfy for so long.. even wondered if i should just go out naked to save on the discomfort. Its just a joy of pregnancy. I can offer much advice except... go naked lol.. hope someone pops in here and gives you better advice lol

I have preg jeans that are just like normal jeans but have expanding sides to accomodate the growing belly, they sit under my belly as that is the way they are designed and i hate high rise pants, can't stand pants near my belly, but thats just me. With DD#1 i worked at kmart on the checkout and wore black trackies as it was too uncomfy to wear dress pants :P
Hope it gets more comfy for ya although it prob wont. lol. The joys of being preg. :)

personally i would go over the bump when sitting down and pull em down under the bump when standing up or walking. either way it wont hurt the baby at all. maybe try a different brand of maternity pants or get the next size up?

Thanks for all the tips. ATM I am wearing my old pre-pg "fat-phase" jeans and just unbottoning them when I sit down. Now if only I can remember to button them up everytime I get up
Kirra - LOL I know I probably won't get any more comfy ... and summer is on the way, so hot and sweaty is something to look forward to :o
Hollye - I would go naked, if it was not for this darn cold winter mornings ;) I am sure DH would just LURVE that!!

I got some great pg jeans at target last year. the jean part of them sat under my belly and it has a big (like 2 or 3 inches) of strechy material to go over the bump. They were great. So comfy and if the rode down a little it didn't matter cos the material at the top still covered your bum!
Also I picked up a pair of Ripe pants at the op shop! They are stretchy and with the big band of stretchy at the top. Just as comfy as trackies imo but better for wearing out of the house!! Best bargain ever!!
Also it was summer so I wore a lot of skirts and dresses!

i bought plain black, nice t-shirt type fabric maternity pants from big w
i would describe them as "yoga pants". they had a high waist cuff that you could choose to fold up or down.
I had morning sickness really bad for first four months, and constantly felt sensitive to having ANYTHIGN restrictive on my stomach.
These $25 pants were the best thing! i felt so comfy. Could dress them up with a pair of boots.
no zips or antyhing to fuss with, so easy.
i went back and bought five pair - LIVED in them all pregnancy.
easy to wash, no ironing, and SO COMFY!
coudln't believe these were in the maternity section of big w - and i price i could manage.
my info is a little out of date (2006) but i'm hoping these are a standard item, cos they were sooooo good.
the same size fitted from when i was 8 weeks along to nine months along.

You know gigi .. I have a pair of yoga pants like that!! I totaly worn them to the bone with my first pg and in their current state are only good for doing house-work in :( :( I also wore them right after the c/s - GLORIOUS for pulling them down low in the front as to not irritate the stiches.
BUT THANKS for reminding me of them .. I'll check the stores to see if I get anything like that again!

I have the black yoga style pants too, about 4 pairsof them and that's all I wear now! And I have lived in them for months, you can dress them up or down depending on what you need. They are sooo comfy. As for jeans, I have a pair of the ones with the elasticky (sp!!) part up the top to go over my bump. I don't really like things under my bump, I feel like I'm squishing his head, LOL! And I pee even more than normal....I also have a pair of black dressy pants from target that are really comfy, they have the elastic in the waist band and tighten at the sides, except they sit higher on your tummy than the jeans that are like that, they are so much more comfy, pretty dressy and not expensive.
