I had my first Chiropractic appointment tonight and one of many things, was told my pelvis is out of alinment. She also said that is probably why i have an anterior placenta. So do you think it is possible? I've never heard of it before.

I dont know if where your baby chooses to implant in the uterus to do with the pelvis, but anyhoo I can see if one of the BB osteo's can pop in and make sense of it... can see how it can effect baby's position in utero but not where the placenta goes....?
I wouldnt worry for now, anything is possible and all pregnancies are different but if you do im sure they'll pick it up at your 18-20 wk scan.
Hi Antheia,
As far as im aware the position of your pelvis does not dictate where the placenta will implant. As the others have said, a pelvis that is out of alignment can influence the position of the baby and other "positional" problems but it should be easy to recitfy and balanced by a practitioner.
Um ok. So i wonder where she is getting this info then? lol. I'm not worried at all, i was just really curious about it.
I could give you an answer as to why she may have said it -but i would be unprofessional by doing so! ;-)
Glad you are not worried though, thats the way you should be! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!
Hiya,
I was told by my chiro that my pelvis was out of alignment as well, she never mentioned anything about my placenta but I was told by my midwife at my scan yesterday that mine is posterior soi dont think its connected at all but i dont think its anything to worry about anyways.
:)
