Huge hugs  Well done for giving your son such a brilliant start to life :cheer: Hopefully you'll still be treated to lots of lovely warm hugs and kisses.
Feathertop - I completely empathise. My DS has just self weaned as well. It is a difficult time but I am pleased he made the choice on his own. You have done a wonderful job
Feathertop  it's perfectly natural to feel sad that this special time has come to an end. Well done of feeding him for 14 months.
Well done on feeding him for 14 months, that's a great achievement!!!
My DD is also 14 months and I can see us going down the same path soon.... she seems just as content to have a cuddle rather than a feed and is becoming increasingly disinterested but I will keep going until she chooses to stop fully too.
I can imagine how you are feeling & hope that you can just remind yourself that you have done a great job.... It's sad to see them grow up sooo quickly isnt it!!
Take care :)
Oh big hugs to you hun. I know exactly how you feel. My first DS also weaned at 14 months, well before I was ready for him to! And 8 weeks ago, DS2 self-weaned at 21 months. Again, long before I was ready for him too. On the plus side, I am enjoying wearing non-maternity bras for the first time in over 4 years!
I hope you feel better soon.
Feathertop - you've done such an amazing job to BF for 14 months, he is a very lucky boy. It is sad when they self wean though, I guess it's their way of saying they're not so little anymore, but hopefully there will be other moments that come in to fill in the gap that's there at the moment.
Oh, chicky, I know I'll feel the same when DS weans himself :( You will be reaping the rewards of your breastfeeding relationship for years to come, even though he's weaned :)
