When will the PG pimples go away??

I generally have very clear skin except for the week AF is due to arrive. During my entire PG I had SHOCKING pimples all over my chin, I'm talking dozens here. I'd find that they would all start to heal and voila then erupt again.
Interestingly enough I had a little girl so I'm guessing that extra surge of girly hormones from her was like when AF visits and hence the pimples.

Now 2.5 weeks after her birth I'm wondering how long these little buggers will hang around. I'm BF'ing so i'm not sure if they'll stick around whilst I'm still BF'ing or will start to clear up when my bleeding finishes.

Would love to hear from anyone about when their acne/pimples started to clear up and skin returned to normal.

P.S. Does anyone know if it is safe to use vitamin A now that bub has arrived, but while I'm BF'ing?? My facial products I used pre-PG all have vit A in them so I stopped using them whilst PG but wondering if safe to use them again or even get a facial from beauty salon which has Vit A or retinol in it??? I'm hoping this might be ok so I can begin to repair the damage to my skin..

Hi Belinda, congrats on your little girl, she looks like a real cutie. I too had horrible acne when pg, although I had a boy so it certainly wasn't the extra oestrogen ;). The bad news is that I reckon it took my skin a couple of months to clear up, which was most upsetting, as I hated the pimples that were everywhere, especially on my back & chest (eww gross). Hopefully your skin clears much faster than mine.
