German(ish) Boys Names
So DH wants a German boys name.
I don't have a problem with this but I would like to avoid anything too, well German lol.
We can't agree on a name at all, our tastes are so different.
DH wants Heinrich or Siegfried. I would rather vomit into a paper bag.
No offence to anyone, please don't shoot me
Yes, they are strong names (which I like) but I would rather avoid anything too, well I'll be polite "ethnic".
Nothing wrong with ethnic, I'm ethnic myself but I want something slightly more mainstream perhaps a little kooky (not that DH will go for kooky) that reflects DH's German heritage.
I have always wanted to name my boy, should I have one, Archie.
Likewise DH would rather vomit into a paper bag. (He has no taste in names)
DH has said maybe Archibald one of his middle names (bub will have two), which is fine with me, I would call him Archie, his mumma nickname lol I've already warned DH.
but what to do about this first name.
Gosh I hope it's a girl as we have that name down pat, poor boy won't be names til he's 21.
Thanks for your opinions, all are welcome.

Yes, I have pointed out several times that Archie is a German name, he just hates the name. Thinks the poor boy would get teased because of the Archie comics.
I don't think most kids today even know who Archie is/was.
He won't have Henry, has to be Heinrich.
SO far I am liking
Dieter
Oskar
Ayden
Arlen
Gerhardt
I like Axel too but DH has already said no to that one.
Thanks for all the suggestions, will have to get into DH's ear tonight and see what he says.
I'm still holding out hope for Archie lol, I've enlisted DD now, she will randomly go up to DH and say "Hey, what about Archie, that's a good name for a baby!"

I like Alaric, if we had a boy that was near the top of our list.
