Best way to make honey & lemon for sick child?

What's your best, easiest, most (*sings*) "efficacious in every case" honey and lemon drink?

DD has a very sore throat, I sometimes use the Twinings lemon twist teabags but I really do need to learn how to make honey and lemon *properly*.d

When I make it for myself i put 1 or 2 slices of lemon & 1-1 1/2 teaspoons of honey into a mug & 3/4 fill wioth boiling water, then let it sit for 1-2 min and top up with warm/cold water so its not too hot to drink
