Baptism - What to Wear?

I haven't been to a baptism before and wondered what is acceptable to wear? Can DH wear jeans?

i had dd christened in a church an i wore a dress.. pple wore dress pants and button up tops... not sure if any one wore jeans.. i dont see y not if hes comfy?
just ask the person holding the ceremony if the mind what u wear- if they didnt state it on invite it shouldnt be too much of an issue

We have been to a lot of baptisms and I tend to find that if it is in a church most men wear pants of some sort, very rarely will we see anyone wear jeans. :)

We went to one recently. DF wore jeans and he wasnt the only one to do so. Only the parents and god parents were dressed up.

For DD1 Baptism DH and i dressed up....but was to dressed up...so DD2 we went alot more causal and jeans were the way to go!

most of the church (other then the elderly) wore really casual clothes too

Jeans should be fine but I would ask him to wear a nice shirt to dress it up a little.
