Bloodshot eyes

Hi not sure if my 2yo boy has conjunctivitis or not.

He has had a bit of a bad run lately, firstly he had a middle ear infection which knocked him about, then he got a horrible cold, and now I've noticed for about 3 days, that part of his eyes are bloodshot pretty bad. Like if he looks completely left, the whites are bloodshot, but if he look the opposite, they are not red at all. Every now and then, I have noticed that they are a little bit gluey, but not enough that causes them to stick together or anything.

Do you think it may just be connected with the cold he just got over? It has been nearly 4 days, they haven't improved, but i don't think that it has got worse, but I will take him to the dr tomorrow if they are still the same.

What do you think it might be?

Could be the cold, but it sounds like conjunctivitis to me. I would go to the dr to get them checked and to get drops if he needs them.
