has anyone used deep heat during their pregnancy or know of anyone that has used it? I have severe back pain (to the point where i cannot walk) and the dr advised rest (of course) and a treatment like tiger balm/deep heat. Of course being a dr recommendation it should be OK but of course as always am bit worried about any effect to bubs. Any suggestions/recommendations?

i was told not to use deep heat during preg. I bought some of those stick on heat pads... i know only 1 or 2 brands were ok during preg so if yuo are going down that route ask at the pharmacy.

Really not sure but i always ring the Pharmacist to find out things like that and if they don't know they generally ring the manufacture.
ice gel is the name of the stuff i used it worked really well just ask at the chemist
I would say NOT to use it - I used it once quite early in 2nd trimester and then called Mothersafe and was advised NOT to use it again especially in 3rd trimester - I'd give them a call and get them to explain it to you better all I know is that they told me to not use it again
