days and days of spotting. sick of it!

Can anyone please help :(

Every cycle I have days and days of spotting. I have my period for a week (well 5-7 days) then nothing for a week, then spotting EVERYDAY till my first day of my next period (cd1).

so basically I'm not bleeding for only a week! (the spotting is only very light though)

can anyone tell me why?

I went to the doctor about this, she said its not normal, did blood tests, (including progesterone) but then by coincidence when I went to see her to get the results I was pregnant but then had a miscarriage. so it was more focused on that and not the reason I went there to begin with.

anyone else experience all this spotting?
anyone know what it could be?

I have no idea what could cause all this spotting. Did you just go off the pill? Perhaps it could be your body sorting out your cycle without it?

I always had quite a bit of spotting before each AF, maybe 3-5 days. It was light but annoying. I think that amount is normal, but not weeks worth.

Before I got my BFP I had about seven days worth of spotting, so maybe if it was one time, it was because you were pregnant and your body was getting rid of old blood?

Sorry thinking out loud here, I don't have any answers but hope you get some soon. :D

I came off the pill one year ago. ttc for about 6 months had 1 bfp but then miscarriage. Just wondering if the spotting is related. (not ttc at the moment, our wedding is in January, ttc again next month though probably)

I went the doctor again who said the spotting isn't normal and if it carries on I have to go to a specialist. My bloodtest this time only came back with low iron.

Hopefully I'll get it all sorted soon :loveshower:
