Does anyone know the brand name of this type of bag? (driving me nuts!!!!)

I can't remember the brand name of a particular bag. They are casual tote/satchel style that uni students seem to like. The logo is a stick figure man in side a circle I think... the head has hair (I think) radiating out like a sun. For some reason the logo reminds me of an atzec symbol.

I thought the brand was Atelier (or something like that) but I have Googled and nothing came up.

I just need to check them out online before I go in search of them.... I think there is a store in Little Bourke Street Melbourne CBD. I think they are a fairly good quality bag. They are what Birkenstocks are to shoes: good quality, only sold in their own stores, and good quality department stores.

Can anyone help me solve this???

ETA: It's a really common brand... I usually see 1 or 2 bags every time I go into the CBD.

I tried to upload their homepage but it's too sophisticated for my poor dinosaur of a 'pute... but I got to confirm that, yes, CRUMPLER is the brand I was looking for. I really need a good quality satchel and back pack... my current ones are deteriorating fast.

How fantastic that Crumpler are a Melbourne company (I didn't know that)... started as a cottage industry and hit the big time.

I can't wait to go into a store now and choose.... how exciting!

If anyone has a Crumpler bag please let me know... they are pricey and I assume good quality but it'd be good to know how happy (or not) people are with them.

ETA: It seems that lots of mums use Crumpler bags as nappy bags (from scanning Google) and the feedback is pretty positive in that regard. I'll need the bag to carry all my usual stuff; wallet, phone, diary, water bottle, and a few spare nappies etc.

Crumpler bags are awesome :) I have one for my camera gear.

I have a Maurice Messenger and I just LOVE it. I have had it for about 3 years, and use it constantly, and it is still in fantastic condition. The maurice would be good for what you mention, might be a bit small, but it has good pockets for nappies, and I do use mine for short trips when I only take a spare nappy too...

I was going to get one as a nappy bag too, but ended up with and OiOi...

I would definitely recommend them!!!

We have one as a camera bag and I also a tiny one in my nappy bag for DD's epipen & claratyne - oh and a mini one in my handbag for my mobile. They are absolutely awesome. If I didn't already have a funky Nicola Cerini nappy bag (also a Melbourne designer) then I would definitely get a crumpler one.

Thanks girls :) Only reading positive comments all 'round so far! (Here and on other forums) I'm fairly certain there is a Crumpler store in Little Bourke street (Melb. CBD) so guess where I'm going to be tomorrow morning during my "me time"!!!

ETA: there also seems to be a few fake Crumpler bags going around... so buyers beware! I'm going to buy mine from their own store just to be certain... it seems the store also does repairs on the bags when needed! Gotta love after-sale-service. :thumbsup:

Bath- if it is for your computer, take your computer with you when you look at the bags. I was shopping for a bag for my mum over the net and phoned Crumpler to see if a particular computer would fit in a particular bag and they recommended always trying it in store. Just a little tip! ;)

Thanks for the tip :) but it's not for my 'pute... just for my daily necessities as described above. I'm hoping that there are lots of segmented areas and not just a single "interior" IYKWIM. I can see there are lots of different designs though.... i'm sure to find one that's right.

We have a crumpler bag for our camera too.. absolutely love it! Handles quite a beating from me (and DH & DD too)
I love the material, seems rather easy to wipe clean as well.

I got one! :hooray: I got one for Christmas from DH!!! And i LOVE it!!! HERE's a piccy! My old back pack was getting worn out on the base... my new Crumpler has far better fabric and am sure it will last longer than a year like the old one.

thanks for this thread bath - i saw those bags in djs in perth just before christmas and had a quick look at them and loved them - then got home and forgot the name of them! I've been looking for a bag for Me - no nappies! and so will hopefully get one once we've paid of chsitmas! enjoy yours!

I actually keep a spare nappy and a plastic envelope of wipes in one of the (divided) front pockets... infact they were in there when I took that photo. I reckon this back pack would serve as a pretty good nappy bag actually. Deceptively spacious.

Now... I just need a Sigg flask (maybe in matching red) and my away-from-home needs are almost complete!

Oooh, that's just a bit nice Bath - I love Crumpler stuff, I've got two of their camera bags, and will have to upgrade one day soon as I've run out of room for lenses. Yours will definitely last longer than a year LOL, even if you treat it really really mean, they are really made to last.

There was a crumpler store just up the street from my house when I lived in Sydney and oh boy was it a constant exercise in discipline.
