Hey Everyone I'm new to this forum and wondering if anyone can help me.
I'm looking at buying a mountain buggy urban elite
I know they are quite wide and you need a big boot is there anything else I need to know?
and is $725 a good price for one plus $60 rain cover and $85 sun cover?
any advice would be great I want to use it for walking, light jogging and possibly on the beach.

We have the MBUE and though we haven't had a chance to use it yet, we absolutely love it. We got the carrycot too.
We bought ours for $750 and it came with a free stormcover. I think the sun shade is only $45 here in NZ so if you are in Aus maybe it is worthwhile looking at shipping one over from here. They are on special at the moment at Baby Factory for six hundred and something The Baby Factory though I couldn't find them on the site.. maybe email to check?
Also I have heard great feedback from others who use theirs for walking, running, beach and even off road as it has suspension. We are really looking forward to using ours. Good luck with your decision :)

Yes, it is a bit wider than a lot of others but I still found no problems getting around the shops etc - usually need to use the handicap/pram aisles in supermarkets though.
That's a pretty decent price for WA at least - don't know where you are or what prices are like over east. FWIW I got the bassinet and used it twice - had a baby with reflux so she couldn't lie flat. In hindsight even if my DD could have used it I don't think its worth the money - the pram comes with a lovely sheepskin insert and bubs can be nicely snuggled in there, especially if you get a snug a bug or some other kind of snuggle blanket.
I've had to get a double pram and a Phil & Ted's now that I have two bubs close together and I have to say, as good as the Phil & Ted's is for my particular situation, it simply doesn't compare to the Mountain Buggy in any way at all. The MB is so sturdy, limitless seating positions, very easy to use brake, easy to push, incredibly easy to fold and unfold, great ride for bubs, great storage basket.
I've just sold my Mountain Buggy pram, the bassinet, the storm cover and the sun shade and still got $750 for it all.
I honestly don't think you can go wrong with this pram (I think MB should pay me as their official spokesperson!!)
I've got a mountain buggy and I find it's fantastic. They aren't as wide as the other 3 wheelers. I went through all the doorways in my house and was fine. They are fine to fit through shopping checkouts. They are also very easy to open and close. I found this was the only one I could work with. They are expensive but worth every cent:) I use for walking everyday and find it very easy. The only thing I can complain about is there isn't alot of storage room on the basket underneath for shopping but I can deal with that. I think great for any walking or running etc

Well I got one of Friday and its been raining ever since so I have only used it in the shop but I like it so far :)
Ashlukrs - Yeah I knew it was alot cheaper in NZ but I was told that Mountain buggy have banned items being shipped to Aus and other countries by its stockists :(
Oh well I have brought it now :)

Yeah the basinett option I think is very expensive when they will only be in it for a few weeks my daughter is 5 months and has wanted to be up in the pram since around 5 weeks.
If you don't mind me asking how are you finding the close age gap we are currently discussing having another baby?

Lozza - yeah they are expensive but I have found lately with teething I use my pram more than my car as its the only time she will sleep in the day so that makes it worth it as I get exercise too :)

Good for you! Enjoy your fab new pram. I really wouldn't worry about the cost of the pram - like I said, I sold mine and got a really good price for it.
As for bubs close together, in all honesty I couldn't recommend it. I found pregnancy extremely difficult when I was trying to look after DD#1 (I was sick my entire pregnancy) and then effectively having two babies to look after once DD#2 was born. A friend of mine who has twins says from what she saw of me in the early days, it was harder for me than it was for her - at least with hers they developed together.
Its getting easier now and I'm hoping once DD#2 is say 12 months life will get a whole lot easier. I love both my girls, but there is no way I would ever do it again, and I would never recommend it to anyone else. I know second and subsequent children never get their mum to themselves, but I really regret not having more time to just enjoy DD#1 without having to juggle pregnancy and another baby.
